Adding tables to transformation after it's saved

Postby modelpoint on Sun Oct 22, 2006 7:53 am

Is it possible to add more db tables to the transformation after it was saved?

Let's say I created the transformation, mapped couple of hundred fileds from Web service response to the various columns in database tables and than I realized that I needed to add another child table to the target.

So, what are my options at this point? Recreate transformation from scratch and map all these hundreds of fields again? Is there any better way?

Not in the current version. If you need to add more tables, you should export your mappings, create a new transformation to include the new tables and then import your mappings to that transformation. Alternatively, you can migrate mappings from one transformation to the other using the migration tool.

We are addressing the lack of reusability of certain components in Jitterbit, however, this is part of a larger restructuring effort that will take several months to complete.

Thanks.
