Netsuite Jitterpaks?

Postby dwoodard on Sun Feb 04, 2007 11:04 pm

Does anyone have a Jitterpak that pulls any information from Netsuite? I'm just looking to get a quick start rather than build it myself from scratch.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks,
DW

If no one wishes to share their NetSuite Jitterpak please post what you're trying to do and we'll try to give you instructions on how to do it.

Thanks.

I'm just replying to this post to second the motion for a NetSuite Jitterpack - or at least to acknowledge that there are at least two people out here that are interested.

Basics would include upload/download of transactions like Sales Orders, Estimates, etc., entities like Contacts and Customers, Shipment Tracking numbers from UPS, support Cases. Ideally, Custom Records would be supportable as well. Probably Excel format on the client side. This would all transfer through the Web Services interface, as NetSuite is end-of-lifing the smbXML interface about a year from now.

I haven't got the bandwidth to look into doing this this myself right now, but if/when I do I will be sure to post back here.

Given that there are several of you out there, I'll coordinate a Jittercamp webinar with Dan on using Jitterbit to integrate a database with NetSuite. We'll query, create and delete sales orders from NetSuite.

That's fantastic! Thanks Ilan. I found the salesforce.com Jittercamp very useful.

By the way, nice mention in the InfoWorld article "12 Quick IT Productivity Wins" this week:

I'd also like to throw in a vote for a Netsuite Jitterpak. I'm still not sure if Jitterbit is the correct solution for the occasional integration needs we have, or if using SOAP directly from my web apps would be the way to go. I'll be playing with Jitterbit against Netsuite and if I come up with anything useful, I'll be sure to post.

Was a Jittercamp webinar ever created for NetSuite? And is there an associated Jitterpak available or coming soon?

TIA :)

I think I can share one of NetSuite Jitterpacks. I have one that extracts the entire product catalog, including custom fields metadata, site categories and all inventory items and loads this data into SQL Server database. It's for version 2.5 of NS web services. If the number of items in your catalog exceeds the number of records that NS WS can return in one reply message, the extract job will send subsequent requests until all data is retrieved.

The Jitterpack will be provided on "as is" basis. There will be no documentation and no DDL scripts for the target database. If you are interested in getting it on such conditions - let me know

I would be very interested in your Jitterpack. I have just started evaluating Jitterbit for integrating to NetSuite, and it would be very useful to see a working example.

Thanks,

I have attached a Jitterpack that creates Sales Orders in NetSuite using Web Services. The source is a CSV file. This was developed in Jitterbit 1.2.5.3, it doesn't work under 1.3.

Issue w/ JitterPak

Postby jen_bonnett on Tue Nov 13, 2007 10:01 am

HI! I downloaded the JitterBit Netsuite JitterPak and I'm trying to get it to run locally. I'm having issues with GetItem. I get the following error:

Failed to perform transformation using local source file: "C:/WINDOWS/Temp/jitterbit/OpId_5_ac820333-d656-447e-bef3-87b7197e3987/SalesOrderIn.csv". XML data does not match schema/dtd. The sequence createdDate, lastModifiedDate, purchaseDescription, copyDescription, cost, expenseAccount, salesDescription, incomeAccount, isTaxable, isDropShipItem, isSpecialOrderItem, enforceMinQtyInternally, isFulfillable, useMarginalRates, overallQuantityPricingType, isDonationItem, showDefaultDonationAmount, dontShowPrice, onSpecial, isFeatured, ... is not allowed under the node root$transaction.response$body$searchResponse$searchResult$recordList$record..

Any ideas?

Hi,

This Jitterpack expects the item to be an Inventory Item. I suspect that you item is not an Inventory Item. If this is the case, you will have to change the SearchItemsResponse Transformation to the type of item returned.

Hi All!

I am brand new to Jitterbit and to writing scripts for NetSuite. I have tried to get help from the NetSuite User Group but I've had trouble getting the help needed.

It looks as though this thread is exactly what I'm looking for and I'm really hoping someone will help me. I need to import sales orders. All of the sales orders (at least for this initial roll-out) are for an existing customer in our system. We have several columns on the line item which needs to be filled in as well as some other settings set such as certain text inputted on the Memo field of the actual sales order, emailing of the confirmation, etc.

I downloaded the jitterpak that Wayne posted but don't know how to configure it for our needs. I'd greatly appreciate if anyone could take some time to help me get this configured, tested and deployed.

Thanks!

Hi,

Tell me what fields you want in the header and lines and I will let you know what to do.
